About this tool

Every frame is resized to the chosen width and centered on a canvas the size of the first image, so mixed sizes still line up. GIFs are limited to 256 colors per frame, so photos may show slight banding; graphics and screenshots look great. Keep the width at 480–600 px for files that load fast in chats.

Frequently asked questions

How many frames can a GIF have?

There is no hard limit, but 2–60 frames keep the file manageable. Big GIFs over 10 MB are rejected by many sites.

What delay should I use?

100 ms per frame is 10 frames per second, good for animation. 500–1000 ms suits a slideshow.

Can I make a GIF from a video?

Not yet. Export frames as images first, then drop them here.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. ConvertBrightly processes files with JavaScript inside your browser. Nothing is sent over the network, and the files disappear when you close the tab. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads.
